Rhythm AI Connector
The Rhythm AI Connector lets you use your AI assistant — Claude, ChatGPT, Google Gemini, or Microsoft Copilot Studio — to work with your Rhythm data using plain language.
The connector is currently available in Early Access. To request access, email help@rhythmsystems.com.
Finally, AI that knows your business.
The Rhythm AI Connector brings your live strategy data directly into the AI tools your team already uses — Claude, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, and Google Gemini — so every conversation is smarter, every decision is faster, and your whole team executes stronger every single week.
You can ask your AI about your priorities, get a read on where execution stands, update statuses, draft your weekly notes, and take action — all without ever opening Rhythm.
How It Works
Your AI is only as useful as the business context it can reason from. The Rhythm AI Connector gives your AI 20+ years of execution intelligence and your live business context, so the answers it gives you are grounded in your actual strategy and help you execute it.
Here's the basic flow:
- You connect Rhythm to your AI tool once, using a secure sign-in process.
- When you ask your AI a question, it sends your request to the Rhythm AI Connector.
- The connector looks up or updates your data in Rhythm — authenticated against your permissions — and sends the results back.
- Your AI answers in plain language, in the tool you're already using.
No switching tabs. No copy-pasting. No context lost.
Security and Data Handling
The Rhythm AI Connector is enterprise-ready and built on the same permission model as the Rhythm platform itself — authenticated per user, enforced at every request, with no special AI access to data you wouldn't normally see.
Same permissions as Rhythm. If you can't see it in Rhythm, your AI can't see it either. The connector doesn't grant any extra access — it only sees what you see.
Authenticated per user. Every connection requires an individual Rhythm login. There is no shared access, no anonymous connections. Your data belongs to you, and only you can access it.
Admin permission required. Before anyone in your organization can connect, your Rhythm Admin must explicitly enable it. No connections are possible until they do — you stay in control from the very first step.
Instant revocation. The moment a user's access is removed in Rhythm, their AI connection is denied immediately. No separate account to deprovision, no lag between intent and effect.
Every request authorized. Every request from the AI passes through Rhythm's server, authenticated and verified against the user's permissions before any data is returned.
Encrypted in transit. All traffic between your AI tool and Rhythm's server is encrypted over HTTPS. The Rhythm AI Connector does not store your data — it is a thin, authenticated pass-through.
A note on your AI provider. The connector authenticates requests and routes them to the Rhythm API — it doesn't change where your data lives. The one new surface is your AI provider. As a general rule, business and enterprise plans offer stronger protections and contractual guarantees than free or consumer tiers. Check your provider's privacy policy if you have questions about how your conversations are handled.

What You Can Do
Once connected, your AI assistant has access to a set of tools that let it read and write your Rhythm data. The tools are organized into a few categories:
- Goals — View your quarterly priorities, check statuses, create or update goals, and post Red/Yellow/Green updates
- Tasks — List, create, and update tasks across your team
- Meetings — Pull up agendas, attendees, and notes for upcoming meetings
- Week in Sync — Read and create your weekly check-in notes
- Feedback & Parking Lot — View and log feedback and parking lot items
- People & Teams — Look up users, teams, and company information
In addition to tools (which take individual actions), the connector also includes skills — pre-built workflows that chain several tools together to complete a more complex job in one step. Examples include drafting your Week in Sync note, running a red goal rescue, or prepping for a 1:1.
For the full list of tools and skills, see the Tools & Skills Reference.
Supported AI Platforms
The Rhythm AI Connector works with the following AI tools. Setup is different for each one — follow the guide for your platform:
- Claude (claude.ai, Claude Desktop, Claude Mobile)
- ChatGPT
- Google Gemini
- Microsoft Copilot Studio
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a paid AI subscription to use this? It depends on your AI tool. Claude requires a paid plan (Pro, Max, Team, or Enterprise). ChatGPT works on all tiers including Free. Gemini requires either the CLI (free) or an Enterprise license. Copilot Studio offers a free trial for testing but requires a paid license to publish. As a general rule, business and enterprise plans offer stronger data protections — worth considering when your live strategy data is part of the conversation.
Can my whole team use it, or just me? Both are possible. Some platforms (like Claude Team/Enterprise and Copilot Studio) support team-wide rollouts managed by an admin. Others (like Claude Pro or ChatGPT) are set up individually per user. Either way, every user authenticates individually — there's no shared access.
What can the AI actually change in Rhythm? The connector includes both read and write tools. Read tools (like listing goals or viewing meeting agendas) are safe to leave on always-allow. Write tools (like creating a goal or posting a status update) will ask for your confirmation before acting, depending on how you configure your AI tool's settings.
Is this the same as Rhythm's API? No. The Rhythm API is a developer-facing interface for building custom integrations with code. The AI Connector is built on top of the Rhythm API but is designed for use through AI assistants — no coding required.
What if my AI tool isn't listed? The Rhythm AI Connector is built on the Model Context Protocol (MCP) — the open standard created by Anthropic and now adopted by OpenAI, Microsoft, and Google. Any AI tool or agent framework that supports MCP with OAuth 2.1 and Streamable HTTP transport can connect. If you're evaluating a different tool, reach out to help@rhythmsystems.com.
I'm having trouble connecting. See the troubleshooting section in the setup guide for your platform, or email help@rhythmsystems.com with your AI tool name, your Rhythm account email, and a description of the error.
