What is the Model Context Protocol (MCP)?

MCP is an open standard for connecting software systems directly to AI tools. Created by Anthropic and now adopted by OpenAI, Microsoft, and Google, MCP enables AI assistants to securely access real-time data from business applications. Yes. The Rhythm AI Connector follows the same permission model as the core Rhythm platform. Every request is authenticated per user, and the AI only ever sees what that individual is authorized to see. Admin permission is required to activate the connector for your organization. Permissions are enforced on every request and revoked immediately when access is removed in Rhythm. All traffic is encrypted over HTTPS. There is no over-exposure of data across teams and no data leakage between users.
