May 11, 2026 Rhythm Search Service Disruption Resolved

What happened

On Monday, May 11, 2026 from 4:18am to approximately 10:00am ET, the Rhythm application experienced a service disruption lasting approximately six hours. Users who attempted to access the app during this window saw error messages or a maintenance page.

Who was affected

All users attempting to access the Rhythm app during the downtime window were affected.

What we did about it

We identified the root cause as a failure in one of our data centers that temporarily made search data unavailable. We restored the affected search index data from an automatic backup and brought the application back online. No customer data was lost. All customer inquiries were responded to once services were restored.

Current status

The system is fully operational. All search index data has been restored and verified.

What we're doing to prevent this

We have taken immediate steps to strengthen our systems and are implementing additional safeguards to prevent future disruptions.
