Key Takeaways

  • The wrong AI question is “What tool should we use?" The right question is, where should AI live inside how we run our company?
  • AI without a proven execution framework is just a faster way to ask the wrong questions. Most companies are bolting AI onto their existing tools instead of embedding it into how strategy gets executed.
  • The Rhythm Systems AI Connector is now in beta, the first AI integration in the strategy execution industry for mid-market CEOs, built on the Model Context Protocol (MCP), the open standard co-created by Anthropic and now backed by OpenAI, Microsoft, and Google.
  • The Rhythm AI Connector works inside the AI tools your team already uses, Claude, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, and Google Gemini, and is powered by 20 years of Rhythm's proven execution methodology.
  • Only 7% of CEOs have a companywide AI strategy. Closing that gap is now a defining leadership question.

My Take On AI

I have spent the last two years in rooms with CEOs and leadership teams talking about AI, and I will tell you something that might surprise you. Most of those conversations go in circles.

Not because the leaders aren't smart, they are some of the sharpest people I know. They go in circles because the questions they keep asking are the wrong ones. They ask, "What AI tool should we be using?" That's not the right question.

The real question is this: Where should AI live inside how we run our company? Those two questions may sound similar, but they are not. One leads to a pile of disconnected tools, an "innovation tax," and a team that's confused about which AI tool to use this week. The other leads to a company that runs better.

That distinction is at the heart of why we just launched the Rhythm Systems AI Connector into beta, and why I want to share my broader perspective on where AI is taking strategy execution.

Every category of software now has an “AI feature." Most of them are general-purpose assistants on general-purpose data, fast, but blind to where execution actually breaks down inside your company.

That's the part I want to talk about today, because it is the part that matters.

AI without a proven execution framework is just a faster way to ask the wrong questions.

Introducing the Rhythm Systems AI Connector

We just launched the Rhythm Systems AI Connector — the first AI integration in the strategy execution industry for mid-market CEOs, built on the Model Context Protocol (MCP), the open standard co-created by Anthropic and now backed by OpenAI, Microsoft, and Google.

In plain English: the AI tools your team already uses every day, Claude, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, Google Gemini, are now connected directly to your live Rhythm data.

  • Priorities
  • KPIs
  • Winning Moves
  • Week-in-Sync notes
  • Pre-meeting health checks
  • End-of-quarter summaries

All of it in one conversation. Inside the AI assistant your leaders are already using.

No new platform to learn. No additional login. No manual exports. No copy-paste between tools.

This is not our first move in AI. We have been building AI into Rhythm since the early 2020s, starting with Rhythm Intelligence™, because we believed then, as we believe now, that AI was going to reshape how strategy gets executed. The AI Connector is the next milestone in a long-term commitment to lead the charge on AI integration in our space, not chase it. Being a leader in strategy execution means being a leader in how AI shows up inside it. We are not catching up. We are setting the pace.

The AI race is on. Every leader I talk to is feeling the pressure to “do something with AI." And every week, another tool shows up promising to be the answer.

Most AI tools are powerful, but they don't know your business. They don't know your priorities, your KPIs, or your Winning Moves. They don't know what red-yellow-green status means in your execution rhythm. They have no point of view on what should be raising an alarm and what shouldn't.

That's the gap the Rhythm AI Connector closes.

What's behind it is what makes it different: 20 years of battle-tested execution methodology embedded into every interaction. When your AI flags a stalled Winning Move, surfaces a KPI that's been red for three weeks, drafts your Week-in-Sync notes, or generates a pre-meeting health check, it isn't just retrieving data. It's applying Rhythm's proven framework to connect the dots your team might have missed.

This is AI doing what AI does best, removing friction, connecting information, catching gaps — powered by the execution system that has helped mid-market companies achieve predictable results for two decades.

What You Can Actually Do With the Rhythm AI Connector

Rhythm AI Connector is built for plain-English use. From inside Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, or Gemini, you can ask things like:

  • “What are my top priorities this quarter and how are they tracking?"
  • “Which KPIs have been red for more than three weeks?"
  • “Are there any Winning Moves without supporting priorities?"
  • “Draft my Week-in-Sync notes based on this week's status updates."
  • Give me a pre-meeting Rhythm health check before my leadership review."
  • "Summarize end-of-quarter execution health, with red priorities highlighted."

It doesn't stop at reading. Your AI can act. It can update goal statuses, log feedback, create action items, and schedule meetings, all directly inside the Rhythm software from just one conversation.

One conversation. Live data. Rhythm's methodology is working behind every answer.

Built on an Open Standard. Built to Lead.

The Rhythm AI Connector is AI-agnostic by design. Customers are never locked into a single AI provider as the landscape evolves. Every request is authenticated per user, and the AI only ever sees what that individual is authorized to see. No over-exposure. No data leakage across teams. Same permission model as the core Rhythm platform.

We chose MCP because it is the future of how AI tools and software systems will talk to each other. By being first in our industry to ship on this standard, we are giving our customers a platform that compounds in value as the AI ecosystem grows around it — not one that has to be rebuilt every time a new model arrives.

The 7% Number Every CEO Should Know

Only 7% of CEOs have a companywide AI strategy.

That doesn't mean your team isn't using AI. It means they are using it without you. Without a strategy. Without governance. Without a plan that ties their AI use back to your execution priorities. The gap is widening every week, and the leaders who close it will define the next decade.

Most CEOs I talk to right now are wrestling with exactly this, how to bring AI into the company without creating chaos.

AI in the hands of a company with a real execution rhythm becomes a force multiplier. AI in the hands of a company without one becomes a faster way to drift.

The CEOs I am most excited to work with right now, whether they are deep into the Rhythm system or just hearing about us for the first time, are not asking whether to use AI. They are asking where it should live inside how they run the company. That is the right question. And it is the question we just gave a real answer to.

This is the next chapter. I am genuinely excited for you to be part of it.

FAQs About AI, MCP, and the Rhythm AI Connector

What is an AI Connector for strategy execution?

An AI Connector for strategy execution is a direct, two-way integration between your strategy execution platform and the AI tools your leaders already use every day — so live data on priorities, KPIs, goals, and meeting prep flows into one conversation, guided by your company's proven execution rules.

What is the Rhythm Systems AI Connector?

The Rhythm Systems AI Connector is the first Model Context Protocol (MCP) integration built specifically for strategy execution in the mid-market. It creates a direct, two-way connection between Rhythm Systems and the AI tools your team already uses, allowing leaders to read, analyze, and act on their live strategy data, including priorities, KPIs, Winning Moves, and Week-in-Sync notes, from inside their AI assistant. It is now available in beta.

What AI tools does the Rhythm AI Connector work with?

The Rhythm AI Connector is AI-agnostic. It works with the major AI assistants teams already use, including Claude, ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, and Google Gemini. Because it is built on the Model Context Protocol, an open standard, it is designed to stay compatible as the AI landscape continues to evolve. Your team is never locked into a single provider.

What is the Model Context Protocol (MCP) and why does it matter?

MCP is an open standard for connecting software systems directly to AI tools. It was co-created by Anthropic and has since been adopted by OpenAI, Microsoft, and Google. For Rhythm customers, MCP means your strategy data, priorities, KPIs, meeting notes, action items, flows directly into the AI assistant you already use, without custom integrations or manual exports.

Is the Rhythm AI Connector secure?

Yes. The Rhythm AI Connector follows the same permission model as the core Rhythm platform. Every request is authenticated per user, and the AI only ever sees what that individual is authorized to see. There is no over-exposure of data across teams, and no data leakage between users.

Who is the Rhythm AI Connector built for?

The Rhythm AI Connector is built for mid-market CEOs and their operating teams, leaders who are already using AI tools in their daily work and want those tools to have full context on their company's strategy. If you run weekly leadership reviews, track KPIs, and manage priorities inside Rhythm, the connector brings all of that into your AI conversations automatically.

How is this different from a general-purpose AI assistant?

A general-purpose AI assistant is fast, but blind to your execution data and your company's business rules. The Rhythm AI Connector embeds 20 years of proven strategy execution methodology into every interaction. When your AI flags a stalled Winning Move or surfaces a KPI that has been red for three weeks, it is applying Rhythm's framework, not guessing.

Is the Rhythm AI Connector available now?

Yes. The Rhythm AI Connector entered beta in May 2026 and is currently available to a select group of Rhythm customers. Existing customers can request to join the beta by emailing info@rhythmsystems.com.

How do I get access to the Rhythm AI Connector beta?
