How do you know if your execution is connected to your strategy? Do you have 3 key winning moves in your company strategy that you are working on quarter after quarter?
Often times companies have documented their key strategic moves well, yet fail to do the work and execute well on them. How about you? Can you connect your priorities this quarter back to your stated strategic moves? If you do not have priorities that connect back to your strategy, then you are not executing your strategy. Why is this important? It's important because if you are not executing decisions that came from your strategic thinking, then you might be running fast towards the wrong targets. Hitting the wrong targets don't get you presents at the end of the year. So what is waiting for you at Christmas this year? Presents? Or bags of coal?
