A system to measure every part of the business from customer journey to cash
In 2019, as Brian described it, MSP360 did not have gauges for the engine. His focus was to implement a system that installed gauges in the business to measure every part of the customer journey to cash.
"As CEO, I can now look at problems and figure out why they are happening. If we launch a project and I don't see any red flags, I probably don't have good enough visibility". The key to this is to establish leading indicator metrics as well as result metrics. "For example, if I built something and go to market and don't see any change in the leads this is a big red flag."
With greater visibility, MSP360 has been able to increase their speed of execution and corrections at least 100% faster and stay focused on what they committed to work on. This has resulted in a 48% increase in net new business.
